Xaxi Hernandez is yet to even take training for Barcelona – but already he has plans to be rid of some of the deadwood at the club.
His former club, Al Sadd, released a statement confirming the Catalan has moved on to his former club Barca, in a deal that's sure to please Barca fans.
Even still, according to reports the 41-year-old already plans to offload striker Luuk De Jong, who’s been at the club for just a few months on a year-long loan.
Publication 'Sport' has said that the Dutchman isn’t a part of Xavi’s plans and the club will desperately try and get rid of the player in the upcoming January window.
De Jong, 31, was a last-minute arrival at the Nou Camp from Sevilla during the summer transfer window.
Barca pulled off a complicated loan move with the forward arriving to the Nou Camp and Antoine Griezmann heading back to Atletico Madrid, in a move to lighten their wage bill.
De Jong did not play any minutes for Sevilla, which made his arrival at the Nou Camp on August 31 all the more surprising.
The report indicated that Turkish side Besiktas are among some of the clubs interested in taking the veteran striker.
De Jong scored just one goal in nine games all season, while Koeman famously stating that he had qualities superior to Neymar.
