Vlahovic urged to join Spurs or 'reach the level of Haaland' at City

‘Don’t go to Juventus’: Dusan Vlahovic urged to join Antonio Conte at Spurs or ‘reach the level of Haaland’ at Man City by Italy legend Antonio Cassano with Fiorentina star joint top-scorer in Serie A

  • Duasn Vlahovic is setting Serie A alight at 21, level atop the top-scorer race
  • The Serbian is highly-rated in Italy, with 13 goals in 16 games this season
  • Juventus, Arsenal, Spurs and Manchester City have been linked with him
  • Former Italy forward Antonio Cassano has told Vlahovic to move to England

Antonio Cassano is convinced Antonio Conte or Pep Guardiola can launch Dusan Vlahovic to superstardom, warning the Serbian he should dodge Juventus.

Vlahovic, who idolises Zlatan Ibrahimovic and is ‘loved’ by the Manchester City boss, is flying this season. The six-foot-two Fiorentina striker has scored 13 and assisted twice in Serie A this season, with only Ciro Immobile on the pace.

Arsenal’s attack is badly misfiring and the north Londoners are reportedly willing to submit a bid of £68million, with Manchester United and AC Milan among other suitors.

Dusan Vlahovic’s phone will be ringing plenty this January with several clubs in hot pursuit

Antonio Cassano believes the Fiorentina man can rise to Erling Haaland’s level in England

Juventus would love to poach the Fiorentina star but Cassano believes the Premier League is the right place for Vlahovic to develo.

‘Don’t go to Juventus,’ the former Real Madrid, Inter and AC Milan forward told Bobo TV.

‘Choose Guardiola and go to Manchester City. I don’t know if he would already be up to it now, but in just one year with him you would reach the level of Haaland.

‘If, on the other hand, at 20 you find a coach who does not know how to talk and work with you, then your growth ends.

The former Italy international believes Conte or Guardiola will be the key to unlock Vlahovic

The Serbian hitman has backed up his sensational 21-goal 2020-21 with a free-scoring start

‘If I were him I would go abroad. Why not choose Conte and Tottenham? Antonio would make Vlahovic grow as happened with Lukaku at Inter.’

The 21-year-old from Belgrade hit 21 goals in 37 games last term, landing him fourth behind Luis Muriel, Lukaku and Cristiano Ronaldo in the golden boot standings.

Vlahovic joined Fiorentina from hometown club Partizan for less than £2million in 2018, at the age of just 17.

Arsenal will be desperate for Vlahovic to ignored Cassano’s advice and make the move in January, with their ageing captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang operating far below his best level.
