Antonio Conte is already signalling his intent at Tottenham and wants the club to sign AC Milan star Franck Kessie, and Daniel Levy is wiilling to back the Spurs boss and even beat Manchester United to the signing.
The January transfer window is just hours away and Tottenham boss Antonio Conte is expected to be given a healthy budget to add to his new side.
After originally opting for Nuno Espirito Santo after a deal to appoint Conte fell through, Tottenham went back on their previous decision and got their man after all, and their improvement has been telling.
Conte has already instilled an identity and arrived at Spurs knowing that he would be given funds in January to make the squad his own, with the Italian the latest boss to deal with the leftovers from the Mauricio Pochettino era.
And Conte has identified Franck Kessie as his primary target, and Daniel Levy is willing to back his new manager and beat Manchester United to the signing.

Kessie has attracted interest from all of Europe following his bright performances at AC Milan, guiding them back to Serie A contention after an underwhelming recent history.
Milan know that Kessie is crucial in their midfield, but they have allowed his contract to enter the final six months meaning that they have almost conceded defeat that their star will leave.
Kessie is free to speak to new clubs in January if a new contract isn’t signed, and ESPN claims Milan have tabled a tempting offer to keep him at the San Siro, boosting his salary to £6.5million-a-year.
However, the report also states Tottenham are willing to go higher and bring him to north London, with Conte becoming an admirer whilst managing city rivals Inter.

The 25-year-old has resisted all approaches by Milan to stay at the club, and Tottenham are ready to offer a deal that Kessie cannot refuse, in order to secure his services next summer.
With no transfer fee changing hands, Levy has admitted that he is happy to surpass any offer than Milan may table for Kessie, and even rival United in order to secure him over their Premier League rivals.
The midfield is an area that needs strengthening at Tottenham, and although Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been a key figure since signing from Southampton, they’re still lacking in the middle of the park.
Tanguy Ndombele lacks consistency, and Oliver Skipp is still extremely young for the role, while Dele Alli and Harry Winks are linked with moves elsewhere.
Kessie would be an ideal signing for Conte, and with a formidable midfield linking to their dangerous attack, it could spell trouble for the rest of the Premier League.
Conte has already got Harry Kane firing once more, which was a worrying sight as the England captain looked a shell of his former self under Nuno, and his partnership with Heung Min Son looks dangerous once more.
Although Kessie wouldn’t arrive until the summer, it would allow Conte to build ready for when the Ivorian links up with his squad, strengthening his position ahead of his first full season.
It would be an impressive deal if Levy can pull it off, highlighting his intent after a difficult few years.
