Arsenal V Brighton: Pictures
Manchester United icon Roy Keane did not hold back after Arsenal’s defeat to Brighton, which ensured that the Gunners’ title hopes took a major blow and one more Manchester City victory would seal the Premier League title for Pep Guardiola’s outfit. Goals from Julio Encisco, Deniz Undav and Pervis Estupinan sealed a 3-0 victory for the Seagulls at the Emirates – a victory that Keane claimed he “loved” watching.
As the likes of Keane, Gary Neville, Micah Richards and Patrick Vieira were discussing how far behind Manchester City Arsenal are as they look set to lose out to their title rivals, Keane confessed his “love” for the day and game he just watched.
Keane told Sky Sports: “I’m sorry, but we’re talking about top-level footballers here, you shouldn’t have to remind people it’s so hard to win. What we saw happen to Arsenal today was brutal but it was brilliant.
“I love watching a team just coming up short. You’re just coming up short and there’s no hiding place, but that’s why we love the game. There’s no hiding place and they were found out today.”
