Michael Olise gives ‘greatest interview of all time’ after Crystal Palace winner

Crystal Palace star Michael Olise gave what has been described as the greatest interview in Premier League history after scoring the winner against West Ham.

The 20-year-old rising star beat Lukasz Fabianski via a huge deflection after Wilfried Zaha cancelled out Said Benrahma's opening goal at the London Stadium.

Having been picked for media duties after securing all three points for Patrick Viera's side, the France youth international was not in a talkative mood.

Having been asked to describe his goal, Olise said: "The goal? I think Wilf passed me the ball. Shot. Scored."

Following on, when asked what the feeling was like when the ball hit the back of the net, he revealed: "It was a good feeling."

And finally saying when asked if he thought Palace deserved the victory overall: "Yeah."

In response, a fan said: "The best ‘it’s not that deep’ interview ever from Olise."

A second posted: "His interviews are an absolute beauty, none of that waffling. Straight to the point."

A third added: "Best interview of all time tbh."

With a fourth concluding: "Michael is so cold, very rarely even see him smile! Some may say elite mentality."

In fact, this isn't the first time Olise has brought in a bigger reaction that he might desire from an interview, as he did when winning Palace player of the month back in February.

He said at the time: "I just want to thank the fans for voting for me – I appreciate it."

On the pitch, Olise grabbed his first goal of the Premier League season in the win over West Ham to take the Eagles up to 10th in the table after 13 fixtures.
