Man Utd team-mates ‘pulled apart in training ground bust-up’ in shambles season

Manchester United stars reportedly had to be 'pulled apart' in a training ground bust up.

Two senior players shockingly had a 'full-on' scrap at the end of their session on Thursday at the Carrington training complex. The incident saw two unnamed stars go at it before the session was brought to a premature end.

According to The Sun, the players were ordered to go back to the changing rooms after tempers boiled over. And the incident, which perfectly sums up a calamitous season both on and off the pitch for the Red Devils, is said to have left team-mates stunned.

Ralf Rangnick gave his side a four-day break after they were thumped 4-0 at Brighton last Saturday. United have no fixtures this weekend and were therefore granted additional time off.

But rather than clearing their heads, it appears tensions within the squad and with manager Ralf Rangnick have persisted. It comes ahead of the side’s visit to a Crystal Palace team which has impressed all season.

Meanwhile, United could finish as low as seventh this season despite spending well north of £100million last summer on transfers. And they will be looking toward a huge overhaul in the summer, overseen by new chief executive Richard Arnold.

Incoming manager Erik ten Hag and football director John Murtough are understood to have met on Thursday in Amsterdam in order to discuss possible transfers, with the side eager to sign two midfielders, a striker and a centre-back.

However, the Red Devils are said to only have a transfer budget of £100million this summer, despite being linked with a big money move for Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong.
