Man Utd fans in ‘moments of crushes’ on stadium concourse after Salah hat-trick

Manchester United fans were caught up in 'moments of crushes' in the Old Trafford concourse after Mohamed Salah completed his hat-trick in Liverpool's 5-0 drubbing on Sunday.

Supporters of the Red Devils couldn't believe what they were watching as Jurgen Klopp's side ran riot at the Theatre of Dreams to record their biggest ever away win against United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer described the loss as his darkest day in football with many now calling for the Norwegian boss to be sacked.

United are winless in their last four Premier League matches and sit eight points behind leaders Chelsea in seventh-place.

It was a dismal display from the Red Devils who were 4-0 down by half-time with several fans heading for the exits moments later when Salah made it five just after the interval.

The Athletic report there were nervous scenes in some sections of the ground given the unprecedented numbers trying to exit at such an early stage.

Stewards had not yet opened the gates, so turnstiles were the only option, leading to moments of crushes on the concourses.

Thankfully, no-one appears to have been hurt.

Should Ole Gunnar Solskjaer be given a chance to turn things around? Let us know in the comments section.

Solskjaer will be given the opportunity to rectify the result against Tottenham on Saturday although there is growing discontent amongst the United faithful that he is the man for the job.

The signings of Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and, most notably, Cristiano Ronaldo were seen as marquee additions for a title challenge.

That elusive search for a first Premier League crown since 2013 looks set to continue unless something quite remarkable occurs within the next few weeks.

Fixtures are not kind for United either.

Solskjaer will need to get back on track at Tottenham before a testing trip to Italy to face Atalanta in the Champions League.

Then it's the derby. Manchester City are the next team to visit Old Trafford.
