Dimitar Berbatov has expressed his concerns over the lack of game time Jadon Sancho is having at Manchester United, saying that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must not let England winger must not become another Donny van de Beek.
The former Red Devils striker was speaking via Betfair when he said that Manchester United must provide the winger with ample game-time to truly spread his wings, otherwise he will become another van de Beek.
He said: “Sometimes a team wants to sign someone so badly. They push for him, spend a lot of money and then, when they get him, the beginning is hard as hell and the player doesn't make an immediate impact.
"That's the situation with Jadon Sancho at United and, hopefully, everything will soon fall into place for the England forward.
“For the moment, the Sancho signing is not working out. It's too early to judge whether he'll succeed at the club or not, but if he continues not playing, or when he plays he doesn't produce what everyone is expecting of him, then it is going to be the same story as Donny van de Beek.
“That would be sad because United wanted Sancho so badly and they spent a lot of money on him. The problem could be Sancho's training methods, or maybe his communication with the manager isn't the best, but United need to find a solution quickly."
Since making the move to Old Trafford over the summer for a reported £73million, Sancho has so far failed to make an impression.

The former Borussia Dortmund player has only made seven Premier League appearances – and only 12 overall. In fact, he’s only played 522 minutes so far this season and has struggled to hold down regular starts for the club.
Van de Beek, meanwhile, was plucked from Ajax not long after he made the 30-man shortlist for the Ballon d'Or.
In 2020 he moved to Old Trafford for £35 million plus £5 million in add-ons, but under Solskjaer he has been unable to make an impression, making just four appearances this season for the Red Devils.
Sancho still has a lot to give but the fear is that, similar to van de Beek, the longer he fritters away on the bench the longer time will pass him by.
