Legendary football commentator Gerald Sinstadt has passed away at the age of 91.

Sinstadt, a regular on both the BBC and ITV, became one of the most recognisable voices in the country after starting his career with Granada television in the 1970s.

The Folkestone man covered four World Cups and the Olympics, while also appearing as a regular guest on Football Focus, Match of the Day and Final Score until his retirement.
