Manchester United salvaged a late 2-2 draw on their Champions League visit to Atalanta – but Red Devils fans believe Harry Maguire was to blame for Duvan Zapata's goal on the night.
Three days after a buoyant 3-0 win away at Tottenham took them one step forward, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could only watch as his side moved one back again out in Bergamo.
Their evening got off to the worst start imaginable, with Josip Ilicic opening the scoring for Atalanta in the 12th minute.
Cristiano Ronaldo swept the ball home to cap a mesmerising United move and draw them level on the stroke of half-time, yet 12 minutes after the restart they were behind again.
Atalanta defender Jose Luis Palomino spotted a gap in the visitors' backline and threaded an exquisite pass into the path of Zapata, who raced through on goal and evaded a desperate challenge from Maguire before tucking the ball past David de Gea.
United appealed for offside and the linesman's flag came, only for consultation with VAR to show Zapata was in fact level with Maguire.

Man Utd fans in meltdown as Raphael Varane suffers new injury as nightmare continues
The Red Devils captain first failed to get up quickly enough to play an offside trap, before producing a feeble attempt to thwart Zapata in the box, potentially out of fear of giving away a penalty.
Ronaldo eventually bailed Maguire out by netting another late Champions League goal, volleying home a vital equaliser in stoppage time.
However, United fans are still furious with Maguire's performance and are even calling for him to be stripped of the captaincy.
One wrote on Twitter: "MAGUIRE IS SO BAD!!!! TAKE AWAY HIS CAPTAINCY".
Another commented: "Maguire continues to show why he is United’s worst ever signing! Oh and he’s captain".
A third asked: "HOW IS THIS MAN OUR CAPTAIN?"
Another stated: "I’ve no idea what 99% of the team do in training. Maguire just isn’t good enough to be a defender let alone the team captain. Nightmare continues."
