Fans are convinced Chris Sutton's Twitter account got hacked after the BT Sport pundit posted an unexpected tweet about Love Island.
The former Chelsea, Blackburn and Celtic striker, known for his brash, straight-laced punditry style, tweeted on Monday: "This could be the best Love Island ever … some great characters and chat in there," followed by an island with a palm tree emoji.
Followers immediately sensed something might be up, with some even joking that the tweet was a sign he'd been kidnapped.

"Surely he's been hacked," one fan wrote. Another tweeted: "Surely Sutton doesn't watch that cr*p, something must be wrong haha."
A third wrote: "This is his way of telling us he has been kidnapped. This is it. CHRIS SUTTON HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED," while another suggested Sutton's BT Sport colleague Robbie Savage might have taken his phone.
Sutton has in fact tweeted about the ITV show before, suggesting he might in fact be a secret fan. Last summer, he posted "[eventual winners] Davide and Ekin-Su are a great couple," completely out of the blue, shocking many of his followers.
