Everton’s bellowing boos ‘cannot be beaten’ as fans fume at Carabao Cup torment

Football fans have joked that Everton fans' boos can't be beaten as they let their feelings known towards the Toffees in the Carabao Cup.

Everton had travelled to South Yorkshire to square off with Doncaster in the second round – as Rovers frustrated the away side with a solid performance.

And the Toffees suffered more embarrassment when they went 1-0 down as Joe Ironside got his head on a free-kick. However, replays showed Ironside had wondered offside, but with no VAR, the goal was allowed to stand.

Doncaster almost doubled their lead moments before half-time, leading to a chorus of boos from the away end at half-time.

"The Everton boo. You cannot beat it," one fan joked. While a second shared: "Ahhhh the Everton boos and we aren’t even at Goodison, beautiful!"

"Perfect boos there from the Everton away end. Audible and delivered with passion. Superb," a third said. And another added: "I aspire to boo as passionately as Everton fans…"

Everton have suffered a poor start to the new season, and the Toffees are yet to find the net.

Dyche's side lost 1-0 to Fulham on the opening day, before they were put to the sword at Villa Park by Aston Villa. The Toffee's problems continued on the third matchday – again failing to find the net against Wolves.

Everton are already facing a crucial game over the weekend, when they play fellow strugglers Sheffield United.
