England hero Chloe Kelly only managed to text back Manchester City boss Gareth Taylor at "4am" as the Lionesses partied into the early hours following their monumental 2-1 victory over Germany in the Euro 2022 final.
Kelly's extra-time winner sparked jubilant scenes at a packed-out Wembley Stadium and the festivities ran long into the early hours of Monday morning after ending 56 years without a major honour on the international stage.
As well as bellowing out Sweet Caroline with the record-breaking 87,192 crowd, the Lionesses gatecrashed manager Sarina Wiegman's post-match press conference, performing a rendition of well-known anthem "It's Coming Home," before returning to their hotel to continue their celebrations.

And such was the merrymaking at the Lensbury Resort in southwest London, goalscorer Kelly didn't reply to club manager Taylor until 4am. "I think if there's one player who really deserves that moment it's Chloe Kelly, he told BBC Radio Manchester.
"Anybody who knows her [knows] she's a dream to work with. She had such a tough moment when she did her ACL. She was out for a huge amount of time after having a first fantastic season for myself and for the club."
He added: "I managed to get some kind of conversation with her last night. I think she replied to me at four in the morning. She's just super appreciative of all of the effort that went in by everyone in her rehabilitation.

"We have got a great team at the club. We really supported her in her dream of getting there and she was really eager at many times to step forward and get out and play in the remaining games we had at the end of the season because she was really concerned about not making that Euros squad. What a story for her. Incredible."
Asked if Kelly's text message made sense at four in the morning Taylor responded: "Yeah. To be fair she was relatively in a decent state so I was surprised at that one. But I saw some of the celebrations this morning from the hotel and the press conferences and everything else so they really deserve it and so they should celebrate because they've done an outstanding thing."
