Chelsea have made a bid worth £51.2million (€60m) for Inter Milan right-back Achraf Hakimi, according to reports. Chelsea could include two players in a potential player-plus-cash deal as negotiations progress. Paris Saint-Germain are also claimed to have made the same financial offer as the Blues.
Inter want to raise cash through player sales in the next few weeks and Hakimi has been heavily linked with an exit.
Arsenal were reportedly interested in the 22-year-old earlier this year but the attraction of Champions League football at Chelsea and PSG would surely make the Gunners’ chances unlikely.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is set to enter his first transfer window as the club’s head coach after leading them to European glory just four months after he replaced Frank Lampard.
Tuchel is keen to sign a striker, with Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Inter’s Romelu Lukaku all targets.

But it appears signing a right-sided player is also high on the German’s agenda.
And Italian outlet Gianluca Di Marzio says Chelsea have made an offer for Hakimi.
The report claims both Chelsea and PSG have made concrete offers for the 22-year-old worth around £51.2m.

Those players are left-back Emerson Palmieri and centre-back Andreas Christensen.
Emerson has already been linked with Inter and sees his Chelsea contract expire at the end of next season.
The Italian is currently third choice at left wing-back under Tuchel, behind Ben Chilwell and Marcos Alonso.
Meanwhile, Christensen’s contract also expires in 2022 and Chelsea could be keen to cash in on the Denmark international this summer to prevent him leaving for free.
The 25-year-old was a regular feature under Tuchel when Thiago Silva was unavailable due to injury.
Christensen has most often been used as the central defender in the back three, coming on as a substitute in that position for the injured Silva in the victorious Champions League final last month.
But it appears Tuchel is happy to allow both Christensen and Emerson leave to help facilitate a deal for Hakimi.
Hakimi came through the academy at Real Madrid but was unable to nail down a regular spot at the Bernabeu.
The Morocco international spent two years on loan at Borussia Dortmund between 2018 and 2020 before a permanent exit from Real to Inter last summer.
