Carragher spots Everton fan ‘from the future’ who knew Arsenal winner was coming

Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher spotted an Everton fan 'from the future' during the Toffees' 2-1 win over Arsenal, with the supporter going berserk at Demarai Gray's winning goal before it had found the net.

Having been behind at the break Rafa Benitez's side produced a simmering second-half display to turn the game on its head.

On a night where Richarlison could have scored three, the Brazilian was finally on the scoresheet in the 79th-minute after VAR had already seen two of his strikes chalked off.

But keen to secure a first Premier League win since September, Everton persevered and claimed all three points thanks to Gray's last-minute sizzler which arrowed into the top corner.

And when analysing the match on Monday Night Football, Carragher was reduced to hysterics when spotting a fan cheering the winning goal before it had gone in.

He joked: "I just want to look at this. Look at the crowd.

"No one thinks it's going in but the one supporter who knows it's going in.

"He's maybe got the best view in the house."

Will Rafa Benitez survive the season at Everton? Let us know in the comments section.

He added: "You knew it was in lad. You knew it was."

Before his colleague, Gary Neville quipped: "Do you know him?"

"I will do tomorrow," replied Carragher.

"Haha that face is a face of love, relief, joy, disbelief, this guy loves his club so much it's great to see," replied another.

While one supporter questioned where his allegiances now lie: "Are you now firmly back to being a Toffee?"
