Arsenal are linked with a couple of new signings heading into the January transfer window. Mikel Arteta’s side are on an unbeaten run of 10 matches in all competitions but the Spaniard continues to look for improvements to his squad. Express Sport looks at how the Gunners could line up with two new winter additions.
Goalkeeper – Ramsdale
Aaron Ramsdale is very much the first-choice goalkeeper at Arsenal at present.
The summer signing from Sheffield United is yet to lose a game in a Gunners shirt.
Bernd Leno lost his place after initially starting the campaign between the posts.
The German may look to move elsewhere in January but a lack of senior backup could prevent that.

Defence – Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Tierney
Arteta has found a recipe for success at the back this season.
Takehiro Tomiyasu has become a fan favourite already at right-back.
Ben White and Gabriel are yet to lose a game when playing alongside each other.
One position that surprisingly is up for debate is left-back.
Nuno Tavares has impressed in Kieran Tierney’s absence but the Scot is likely to return to the team at some point.

Midfield – Renato Sanches, Partey; Smith Rowe
Renato Sanches has been linked with a move to the Emirates.
The Lille star could slot into the midfield alongside Thomas Partey, with doubts over the long-term future of Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny.
However, AC Milan are also said to be interested in the Portugal international, so Arsenal could face strong competition for his signature.
New England international Emile Smith Rowe could move into a central spot to make room for another new signing.
Attack – Kulusevski, Aubameyang, Saka
Juventus winger Dejan Kulusevski is a player who continues to be linked with the Gunners.
The Swede, 21, joined Juve from Atalanta in 2020 but has struggled for game time under Massimiliano Allegri this season.
He and Bukayo Saka could interchange between the right and left wings, though Saka has performed better on the right.
Captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has shown glimpses of returning to goalscoring form this term, so would take the central striker spot.
How Arsenal could line up after two January signings in full: Ramsdale; Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Tierney; Partey, Sanches; Saka, Smith Rowe, Kulusevski; Aubameyang.
