Arsenal ‘could send 19-year-old winger Marquinhos out on loan in January’, with the Brazilian restricted to just four first-team appearances since his £3m move from Sao Paulo in the summer

- However, Mikel Arteta may use him more in a busy cup period in the new year
Arsenal could loan out winger Marquinhos for the second half of the season to give the teenager some game time, according to a report.
The 19-year-old has made just four appearances, scoring once, since joining for £3million from Sao Paulo in the summer.
In the Premier League, he has made one substitute appearance for Arsenal in their rise to the top of the table. The club continue to fight for multiple trophies.

However, the Gunners might send the Sao Paulo-born player to another club in January to get first-team experience, according to the Evening Standard.
Mikel Arteta and his team must decide whether Marquinhos would be better served with time elsewhere, or with the opportunities Arsenal’s busy 2023 schedule brings.
After the World Cup break, the next three rounds of the League Cup – if they get through against Brighton on Wednesday – will be completed before the end of January, while there are also the third and fourth rounds of the FA Cup to consider.
It may leave Arsenal less likely to consider a loan move away if they think he will be a vital part of the squad during the hectic January fixture list.

But long term, Marquinhos may have a better progression if he’s playing week in, week out, for a first-team, rather than waiting for chances that will come from squad rotation amid several trophy hunts.
As Arsenal lead the Premier League at this stage, they won’t look to jeopardise that by letting Marquinhos go without sufficient cover.
However, they have also been linked to buying wingers such as Orlando City’s Facundo Torres or Shakhtar Donetsk’s Mykhaylo Mudryk, which would leave them more open to letting Marquinhos leave the Emirates on a temporary basis.
After the Brighton match on Wednesday, Arsenal face Wolves in their final Premier League game before a six-week domestic break.
Marquinhos could also be used by Arsenal more during a congested schedule in January 2023
