Antonio Conte has already hinted at the relentless approach he’s undertaken to improve Tottenham Hotspur just a week after his appointment in a revealing conversation with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

Conte was swiftly appointed as Nuno Espirito Santo’s successor earlier this month after the ex-Wolves boss was axed following a nightmare stint in charge.

The Italian is back in the Premier League after guiding Inter Milan to the Scudetto last term during his only year at the helm.

And Conte, who has already proven his credentials in England by steering Chelsea to a record-breaking Premier League title-winning campaign during his first year at Stamford Bridge, hasn’t wasted any time in setting the tone for his demanding new regime.

In a behind-the-scenes video released by Tottenham, Conte is shown deep in conversation with Levy as the pair discuss his support staff – with Conte insisting that he and his staff “want to know everything”.

“Under technical aspect, there is [Cristian] Stellini, my assistant,” Conte says as the pair fine-tune the club’s new coaching ranks.

“Gianluca [Conte], my brother. My brother is the person that makes the video [that] analyse our game. He makes for me these videos.

“And then, there is Gian Piero Ventrone. I had him as a fitness coach when I was a player. For me, he is the top, top physical coach. He is a great person.

“Then there is Constantino Coratti. Coratti is a physical coach and he works specifically on strength.

“And then there is Stefano Bruno. Stefano Bruno came last year with me.

“I hope the staff that work at Tottenham to be very collaborative because we want to know everything.”

Conte’s words will be music to the ears of Spurs fans who have watched their side endure a gradual decline over the past few years.

The appointment of a serial winner like Conte as the club’s new head coach should be the catalyst for Spurs to re-establish themselves as one of the top teams in the Premier League – and he’s wasted no time in implementing big changes in north London.

Conte made headlines earlier this week by reportedly giving his underperforming squad strict new training regimes to adhere to over the two-week international break. The new Spurs chief also banned a whole host of condiments from players’ diets, including ketchup and fizzy drinks.

The intense pressing style that Conte is renowned for implementing requires immense levels of physical fitness; hence his desire to put his new squad through a gruelling miniature pre-season of sorts over the next fortnight.

A new report from this week Football London has outlined that members of the Tottenham squad have already been blown away by the level of detail in Conte’s training sessions as well as his man-management skills, as he and his new support staff attempt to get the players up to speed for the return of league action later this month.
