Erik ten Hag’s Ajax edged closer to securing the Eredivisie title with a 3-0 victory at home to PEC Zwolle, with Davy Klaassen scoring twice.

Ten Hag, who will take charge of Manchester United at the conclusion of the campaign, is looking to sign off in style at Ajax. 

His side are now seven points clear of their closest challengers PSV, who have a game in hand.

Davy Klaassen scored a brace as Ajax secured a 3-0 victory in their clash against PEC Zwolle

Dusan Tadic also managed to get on the scoresheet as Ajax secured all three points

Dusan Tadic put Ajax in front on the half hour mark with a fantastic effort.

Daishawn Redan squandered an inviting opportunity to get an equaliser for PEC Zwolle, who are in the relegation zone.

Klaassen then doubled Ajax’s lead as he scored after Jurrien Timber had struck the post. 

Ajax gave a debut to Youri Regeer, but the 18-year-old went off injured, with Devyne Rensch replacing him.

With ten minutes remaining Klaassen made certain of the victory with an impressive strike. 

PSV are in action on Sunday afternoon when they host Willem II.

Meanwhile, Ajax’s next fixture sees them face AZ Alkmaar away next weekend.
