Tyson Fury’s wife caught downplaying hubby’s retirement with "no chance" comment

Tyson Fury's wife Paris has been caught downplaying her husband's plans to retire with a subtle two-word comment.

The Gypsy King doubled down on his claims his win against Dillian Whyte would be his final fight as he insisted he plans to retire in the ring after the bout. Fury admitted that he had previously promised Paris he would quit boxing after his explosive trilogy against Deontay Wilder before being tempted to return to the ring in England.

However, Paris appears to feel he will be back in the ring soon after she was seen mouthing "no chance" as he explained his retirement plans.

Speaking in the ring after the fight, Fury said: “I promised my lovely wife, Paris, of 14 years, after the (Deontay) Wilder 3 fight that would be it and I meant it.

“I had a war, it was a great trilogy and I meant that but I got offered to fight at Wembley at home and I believed that I owed it to the fans, I owed it to every person in the United Kingdom to come here and fight at Wembley.

“Now it's all done, I have to be a man of my word and I think this is it, this might be the final curtain for the Gypsy King and what a way to go out.”

According to Fury, he will now walk away from boxing with a professional record of 32-0-1 and as a two-time heavyweight world champion.

If Saturday's bout with Whyte does prove to be Fury's last, he will retire off the back of one of his finest performances after his stunning uppercut in the sixth round floored Whyte and landed a technical knockout victory.

Paris herself also discussed his retirement plans after the bout and was whether Fury "owed" retirement to her. “I do a little bit, I would like him to come home now, he has nothing more to prove," she told BT Sport.

“That's the thing if he had something to do I would say 'yeah Tyson go do it,' but he has nothing to prove. Unless he really wants to box on and he's doing it for more money, fame, he doesn't need that – he's the most famous man on the planet tonight.

“He does not need to be any more famous. We're very blessed and lucky not to need any more money. I mean the man has done everything he can do, I mean, I'm happy with what we are and what we've got and for Tyson to keep boxing, it just seems, for what reason?

“I know that in my heart the only reason Tyson would come back is for a unification fight. That would be the only reason Tyson Fury would come back in the ring as he has nothing left to prove. To keep boxing on, there's nothing there for him.”
