Paul hits out at ’embarrassing’ White video over response to retirement claim

Jake Paul has described UFC boss Dana White as ‘embarrassing’ after he responded to an initial offer from Paul, who said he would retire from boxing to fight MMA star Jorge Masvidal.

Paul initially made the bold claim on New Year’s Day, sending a detailed three-point offer to White, which if adhered to the YouTuber-turned-boxer said he would retire from boxing and take up MMA.

In the initial post the famed internet star asked the UFC boss to: increase minimum fighter pay to $50,000 (£37,000), guarantee fighters 50% of UFC’s annual revenue and to provide long-term health care to all fighters.

As well as this Paul has also made claims that the 52-year-old is an active cocaine user, however White has since responded with an offer of his own.

In a video uploaded to his social media the UFC president told the YouTube star: “You never responded to the challenge. You publicly stated that I use cocaine.

“I do not. So I told you, you could randomly cocaine test me for the next 10 years.

“I believe that you’re a cheater and I believe that you use steroids, so I want to randomly steroid test you for the next two years.”

However, Paul has once again hit out at the UFC boss, describing his response as ‘embarrassing’, while also shrugging off the claims he uses steroids when training.

In a video uploaded to Twitter the YouTuber replied: “Steroid test me whenever the f*** you want. It’s two weeks after my fight and I’m a fat b***.

“I don’t do steroids and I take it as a compliment because there is no other excuse to me knocking out all of your champions than ‘this kid does steroids’.”

Joking about his body he then added: “Look at me, look at that. I’m a fat b***.”

He then went on to make the compromise that if he is made to do a steroid test, then all of his UFC fighters must take one too.

In his video White rubbished Paul’s three earlier demands claiming that he believed they were not even put together by the YouTuber, while also slamming his chances of ever fighting Masvidal in the Octagon.

Discussing the 24-year-old's initial three points White commented: “You’re tanking. You can’t sell pay-per-views.

"You’re calling out Jorge Masvidal because he’s a pay-per-view superstar.

"Nate Diaz, Conor McGregor, Mike Tyson – these are all superstars. You’re not. You can’t sell pay-per-views.”

However, Paul once again had a quick response in his reaction video by slamming his claims that Masvidal is a ‘superstar’ by comparing the fighter's social media following to his mum’s.

He added: “You say Masvidal is a pay-per-view superstar. Let’s go to his last Instagram post.

“5,000 or 10,000 likes or some s***. Do you realise that my mum Pam gets more likes than your pay-per-view superstars.

“Men lie, women lie, Dana White lies. Numbers don’t.”
