Paige VanZant now a movie star as ex-UFC babe stars in debut film role

Horror movie villains beware, UFC star Paiga VanZant is out to get you.

The star may well be known for her dazzling looks and audacious photo shoots, but the mixed martial artist can certainly pack a punch and an elbow when she needs to. From the UFC to Dancing with the Stars, bare knuckle fighting to preparing three course meals on US cooking show 'Chopped', VanZant is, in her own words, a “powerful motherf***ing woman".

And now she can add movie star to her list of accomplishments, as she made her acting debut, alongside TikTok star Bryce Hall. While VanZant remained tight lipped on what to expect from her movie, which has been directed by boxing promotion company Triller, her stunning highlight reels from her MMA career suggests she will not be the typical damsel in distress who runs away from the monster, before tripping and falling to her death.

"I was really excited that they thought of me, it was an awesome experience,” VanZant said to the Sun. "It was a quick three days, I made sure I condensed it to three days so that I wouldn't miss very much training.

"I was able to train, because I have some amazing coaches in LA too. But yeah, it's an awesome new movie.

"It's going to be a horror movie – so all the horror fans can get ready for it." VanZant’s acting debut has been crowbarred into her phenomenally training schedule.

The American is still preparing for her upcoming bare-knuckle clash against Charis Sigala in London. VanZant faces off against her US counterpart in London for BKFC 27.

And VanZant admitted it was hard work trying to fit in her commitment to Triller, as well has her training. "I really hadn't had anything on my mind about acting at this second, just because I have my fight coming up," she added. "But I would love to continue to act, I had a great time.

"This was my first movie role and it was honestly an amazing experience. I only got to be there three days, which is unfortunate because I fell in love with the cast, they were super special and all very nice."
