Leon Edwards did it again. The welterweight champion defeated Kamaru Usman by majority decision in the main event of UFC 286 in London on Saturday to complete a trilogy and earn bragging rights over the former pound-for-pound king.
Edwards (21-3 1 NC) edged Usman (20-3) with scorecards of 48-46, 48-46 and 47-47. The victory puts their rivalry 2-1 in favor of Edwards.
In the co-main event, lightweight contender Justin Gaethje defeated Rafael Fiziev by majority decision. It was an action-packed fight that ended with scorecards of 29-28, 29-28, 28-28.
Gaethje (24-4), a former interim lightweight champion, has won six of his past eight fights, with the two losses coming in bouts for the UFC lightweight belt. Fiziev (12-2) was riding a six-fight winning streak before Saturday’s loss.

Gaethje vs. Fiziev was a better fight, and it was close until the end, leaving fellow competitors asking for a rematch.
