League Pass spotlight: Memphis Grizzlies vs. Charlotte Hornets
Two of the best young point guards in the game today will be on display when the Grizzlies host the Hornets.
22-year-old Ja Morant will take on 20-year-old LaMelo Ball as two stars in the making look to continue their breakout seasons in pursuit of their first-ever All-Star bid.
Morant has been one of the most improved players so far this year, averaging a career-high 26.0 points to go with 7.2 assists, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game. With monster performances like his 40-point double-double against the Lakers and, most recently, a 33-point outing in an overtime win over the Timberwolves, Morant has become must-see-TV every time he takes the court.
And then there’s Ball, who in just his second season, already looks like one of the best players in the league. Averaging 20.4 points, 7.0 assists, 6.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game, Ball has carried the momentum of his Rookie of the Year campaign in 2020-21 into the 2021-22 season.
The last time he took the floor, Ball dropped a triple-double of 25 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists in a tough overtime loss to the Lakers.
You won’t want to miss this matchup on NBA League Pass.
